This website generally conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and their latest
standards. The nonconformities are listed below.
- 1.3.1.Info and Relationships
There were twenty instances across the Redcar website where this standard was deviated from.
The primary reason why Redcar fails to meet this standard is because of the registration
wizards used on the portal. There were issues pertaining to roles not being placed within
the required context that were reoccuring. These have been placed in to the development schedule and
will
be made more accessible in the near future. A solution for this is due to be implemented on
TBD.
- 2.4.4. Link purpose (In Context)
There were two instances where links were without a text alternative within its context. This
issue is something that is also due to be fixed and has been placed into the development
schedule for the benefit of accessibility. Fixes for this are due to be implemented on TBD
- 4.1.1. Parsing
The success criterion pertaining to “4.1.1. Parsing” was not conformed to therefore meaning
the website fails accessibility in this respect. Reasoning for this is primarily because of
the forms not having unique element IDs and
a solution for this is due to be implemented on TBC.
- 4.1.2 Name, Role and Value
Form fields were not labeled on the registration wizards on the website. Furthermore, there
were occasions where there were inline frames without a text alternative that had been
detected. To fix the forms, a prolonged period of
time is required and has been agreed upon as fixing them within this allotted time period of
the creation of the website was found to be unfeasible.
